What is...
boring, exciting, uncomfortable, clever, hilarious, stimulating...what would keep you interested (in anything)? Please tell me.
I joined the Army Reserves in 2001 at the age of 17. I found myself in Balad, Iraq from 2004-2005. I walked around Camp Anaconda and parts of Iraq with a camera in one hand and a notebook in the other. These are my scribbles about my experience in Iraq and returning home.

Life, Kate.
Fair enough. How do you capture it (or a moment)? Or attempt to do it some justice?
What is..
Boring: Listening to someone try to convince you that they're right and you're wrong.
Exciting: The possibilities inherent in tomorrow...all the tomorrows.
Clever: Something which makes a connection and points out a failing in a humorous, non-prejudicial way.
Hilarious: Watching human nature assert itself.
Stimulating: See "Hilarious"
What keeps me interested? People. And the stories they have to tell.
I don't know if this helps or not, but there you have it. Here's my take...
Love
Listening to the know-nothing political pundits as you're watching election returns while sitting on the floor eating chocolate and cracking jokes with your best friend and laughing at the absurdity of it all. How does that sound?
Boring is the opposite of silence. With too much clutter, and too many choices from which to choose, I settle on nothing, and am bored.
Exciting is what I feel when I walk out of the darkroom with a print fresh from the fixer.
I am uncomfortable in large social gatherings, as a passenger in someone else's car, and with the state of Democracy in America.
The clever are to be watched closely.
Will Ferrell is hilarious.
Formal, higher education is stimulating.
Curiosity keeps interest.
