The U.N. said the war in Afghanistan cannot be won military. There needs to be dialogue. Sorry McCain and Palin, a surge a few years to late of exhausted Soldiers won't do it this time.

Kate, superpowers cannot win guerilla wars, never could, never will. This country is living proof of that. Every 4th of July, guess what? We celebrate an insurgency. But now we've become the redcoats. Afghanistan? Rubbing my chin again, as didn't their Prez used to work for UNOCAL?
Anon is right. But, you have to quell the violence so that the people can talk. Af is a different animal and I don't think either candidate recognizes that.
