Jesse Huff's Brother: Satisfied with the Treatment Jesse Received from the VA
"Charles Huff, 37, of Dayton — a nurse at the VA and a staff sergeant in the Army Reserve — said Monday, April 19, that he and his father met with Dayton VA Director Guy Richardson on Sunday to review his brother’s medical records, specifically focusing on the events of his last visit to the emergency room.
“Jesse was not denied care,” Charles Huff said. “In fact, I am impressed with the actions of the medical staff that evening. Without going into detail, to protect Jesse’s privacy, I can say as a fellow Iraq war veteran, as a medical professional and as his brother, I am in agreement with the decisions made by the hospital staff during Jesse’s last visit to the ER.”
I'm not buying it and I have reason not to. This case isn't closed because his brother is satisfied with the treatment Jesse received from the VA.

I don't buy it neither and I hope that Jesses' point is not lost because of what his brother said.
Stephanie- I'm sorry for your loss. I would love Jesses' story from your point of view. Please email me...katehoit@yahoo.com
I want the truth to be known.
You "don't buy it" because you don't know the whole story. It is interesting that people can form such strong opinions and blog on them (therefore, stirring others to "not buy it") when they weren't even involved in the situation, don't have all of the info, and didn't know the deceased.
Life is never black and white, this or that.... it is GRAY.
and Jesse's situation was not all Iraq, was not all Veteran related... it was much deeper GRAY than that.
so, please.... when ever thinking from your own angle of things.... consider that you don't now about many other, differnt factors that may have been involved.
sincerely
michelle
Jesse's sister in law.
I became close to Jesse in the past 2 years and talked to him many times about this, and life....and Charles too. So, I do think our opinion matters - we actually KNEW and lived w/ the person whose story you don't "buy"
I know that Jesse had issues before Iraq!! but having that on top of it??? People that didn't have issues before Iraq have issues now!!! Someone has to stand for Jesse instead of just brushing it off cause Jesse was depressed before that. Someone needs to stand for all of these men and women that go through this!!!! I have expressed my option on this just as I am allowed to do because of people like Jesse and your husband Michelle. I have no bad feelings towards you or Charles I just think that everything was not done for Jesse obviously. I just feel that these men and women give their all for this country and this country needs to stand up and give back to them!!!!!
I also lived with Jesse for a few years. The last time we spoke he was in West Virginia getting treatment. He was troubled and he carried a ruck full of guilt about having to leave his troops and buddies behind because his back was injured.
I know Jesse would never go somewhere to kill anyone unless he was confused and angered by them.
The war screwed him up good. SOme of the stories he told me after I got back about some of the things he was doing made it appear he wasn't completely back in the States in his mind.
If the VA did their job he wouldn't own any weapons since he had a few occasions been hospitalized for suicidal behavior. Giving him oxycodone to treat pain for a long period of time is gutless and lazy. This angers me greatly. And Charles I hope you are right, your brother only spoke to me of a younger brother he cared for.
He had a lot of issues and I believe Charles got him into a lot of stuff when they younger.
