PTSD...

Next week I have an interview lined up with a clinical psychologist who headed the National Center for PTSD at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System. I know some female vets read this who may or may not have PTSD...What questions would you ask? What do you want to know? If you aren't a vet but still have questions throw them at me.

I know a Vietnam Veteran who went there to treat his PTSD a few years ago. Even years and years after coming home from a war. They saved his life. I can't wait to see more of what you're working on.

1) You could try and ask why some care-givers continue to call PTSD, re-adjustment disorder and what is being done in order to fix this problem. Readjustment Disorder exists but at what point can a veteran be told that they have PTSD.

2) Since many veterans don't seek treatment for PTSD, what is their organization doing in order to try to encourage veterans to come in for help.

Another reason why this Mideast war is a waste, all around the board. No-win situation. That's why I respect the war resisters. The fallout hasn't yet come back to us hard and heavy, but when it does, we're fucked. If things morph into full-blown WW3, FUGGETABOUTIT! EVERYBODY loses. No amount of parades and propaganda will cure things.
